Child Safety Standards
Version 1.0 · 2026-11-07
Zero tolerance. nobody. prohibits all child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form. We remove it, permanently terminate the accounts involved, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the competent authorities in the Gulf and in the user's country.
This page sets out the standards the nobody. safety team applies to nobody. It is published to meet the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and the Apple App Store guidelines, and it forms part of our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
1. Adults only
nobody. is designed for and restricted to adults aged 18 and over. It is rated accordingly in the app stores. During sign-up every user must confirm that they are at least 18. We do not knowingly allow minors to use the service. If we become aware, through a report, moderation or any other signal, that an account belongs to a person under 18, we terminate the account and delete its personal data, retaining only what is required to prevent re-registration or by law.
2. What is prohibited
The following are strictly prohibited on nobody. and lead to immediate, permanent account termination:
- Creating, sharing, requesting, describing, linking to or soliciting CSAM, including text-based sexualised descriptions of minors, and any "virtual", drawn, AI-generated or fictional sexual depiction of a minor.
- Grooming: building a relationship with a minor, or with someone presented as a minor, for sexual purposes, including attempts to move the conversation to another platform.
- Sextortion, sexual harassment of a minor, or any sexual communication with or about a minor.
- Arranging, advertising or facilitating child trafficking, child sexual abuse or child sex tourism.
- Role-play, "age-play" or any sexual content in which a participant is, or is presented as, under 18.
- Sharing identifying information about a minor to enable abuse.
Rooms and one-to-one chats on nobody. are text-only, and voice messages exist only in Trusted sessions with the host. The only images on the service are profile photos, and uploaded photos are reviewed by our moderators before anyone else can see them. These rules apply equally to photos, text, links, codes and references to off-platform material.
3. How we detect and act
- In-app reporting. Every user, free or Plus, can report any message, user, room or Trusted session from the chat menu. "Appears to be under 18" is a dedicated report category and is routed with the highest priority. Reports attach the relevant messages even when Leave No Trace is enabled.
- Moderation team. Trained moderators review child-safety reports with a target first response of under 24 hours. All moderator actions are recorded in an audit log.
- Profile photos. Every uploaded photo stays hidden until a moderator approves it, and photos are checked against known CSAM hash lists before approval. Rejected photos are deleted unless the law requires us to keep them.
- Automated signals. We use keyword and pattern-based detection on text to flag likely CSAE conduct for human review. We do not use these signals to read private chats indiscriminately.
- Action. When CSAE is confirmed we immediately remove the content, permanently terminate all accounts involved, block the associated devices from re-registration, and preserve the evidence under restricted access for the period required by law.
- Reporting to authorities. We report apparent CSAM to NCMEC through its CyberTipline and/or to the competent authority in the relevant Gulf state (for example the UAE Ministry of Interior Child Protection Centre, the Saudi National Family Safety Program / Public Security, or the equivalent body), and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
- No notice to the offender. We do not inform the reported user of the details of a child-safety report, in order to protect the reporter and the investigation.
4. Compliance with child safety laws
We comply with applicable child protection and child sexual abuse laws in the countries where nobody. is available, including UAE Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 on Child Rights (Wadeema's Law), UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on cybercrimes, the Saudi Child Protection Law and Anti-Cyber Crime Law, and the corresponding laws of Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, as well as US law regarding reports to NCMEC where applicable. We review these standards at least annually and whenever the law or our product changes.
5. Trusted sessions
The Trusted host follows our child-safety procedure. If the host suspects a participant is a minor, the session ends and the account is referred for review. The host is never permitted to continue a session with a suspected minor.
6. Designated child safety point of contact
For child-safety matters, including requests from law enforcement, child-protection organisations and app stores:

Users who believe a minor is using nobody., or who have witnessed CSAE, should use the in-app Report button or email the address above. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.
